WHEN SUICIDE HAPPENS
Realistically, we will never eliminate
suicide.
Even with our
aggressive public awareness
campaigns, and with our best efforts to teach prevention, the
best we can hope for is to keep the suicide rate low.
But, when a suicide does happen ISP is
available to help the surviving family members. We do this
work through (E.C.R.P.S.F.S.) Emergency Crisis Response
Post-Suicide
Family Support.
Blood and body fluids are
considered a biohazard and must be cleaned up by a
certified crime scene business. Why is it important to have a certified bio
hazardous company clean up a suicide scene? |

Surviving family members have a gamut of
emotions to deal with as a result of the sudden, and sometimes
horrific experience of suicide. Feelings of isolation, guilt,
anger, shame and regret keep most from sharing their experience
with others.
Surviving family members, and close
friends, are 7 times more likely than the general public
to commit suicide later on in life.
By cleaning a suicide scene of a
loved one, you will be 75% more likely to commit suicide
later on in life than the general population. If this has
happened to you, please seek professional assistance to deal
with the emotional trauma you maybe suppressing. Most that experience a suicide in
their immediate family never seek counseling. Keeping a suicide a family secrete
will most likely create other issues over time like;
uncontrollable rage, drug abuse, alcoholism, and other
addictions as a means of attempting to cope with life’s
problems.
ISP encourages surviving family members to get counseling as
soon as possible, especially the children, or those that have
never experienced a loss. ISP will find
and/or pay for counseling when families are unable to afford this
needed step in the grieving process.
