>>Stopping suicidal thoughts....

Pick one of the following, and JUST DO IT.  Also, pick one that is not easy, or something that you normally would not do.

NOTE: This information does not represent a therapeutic recommendation or prescription. For specific information and advice, consult your physician.

Take a walk and start making this part of a daily routine.
On your walk take notice of the ground, the dirt.  Pick up some dirt and put it in the palm of your hand.  See what the dirt is made of (look closely).  Now find a tree to look at, or a bush.  Really look at a tree, from where it has pushed up out of the earth all the way up to the leaves that reach to touch the sun.  Now look at the sky and notice how big it is.  Feel the wind as it brushes up against your skin and as you do this, listen to the sounds of this world around you.  Hopefully, by now, you have relieved some of the pressures that you were feeling before you took this walk, and you got some needed sun and exercise.  Now you can get back to your daily activities, and problems that just a little while ago seemed so overwhelming.  You don’t need to be a member of Gold’s Gym to feel better about yourself, take baby steps.

Eat something healthy, and starting now!
Go and get some fresh fruit; a banana, pear, peach, plum, orange, apple, etc.  Eat at least one of these every day and start now.  Your body is the most advanced, and expensive machine ever, and it needs the best fuel available in order to function properly.  Have three balanced meals daily.

Get sleep.
Most of us need at least eight hours of sleep every night.  You will need your rest to deal with life’s issues.  Even if you must take a over the counter sleeping pill, do it, and follow the instructions.  If it says take one at night, only take one!  Don’t make sleeping pills a habit; only take them when necessary in order to get caught up on your needed rest.  If you are sleeping to much, this is a sign of a more serious issue, consult your physician immediately.

Limit your food from fast food restaurants to at least twice a week.
Altered, and or preserved food, looses its original nutritional value.  Prolonged exposure to processed food will cause your brain to short circuit (make you think bad thoughts about yourself).   Eat a well balanced meal most every day, and you will be surprised how much more energy you will have.  Not only does the physical act of making a meal burn calories, it is also good for you.  One small step to building self-esteem for a healthy mind.

Talk to someone you trust daily.
Open yourself up to a family member, or friend, and tell them how you are feeling on a regular basis.  Don’t hold in your feelings.  Feelings have never killed anyone, but thinking that no one will understand could kill you.  (Try to talk to at least one person a day, and avoid isolating yourself).

Do something silly at least once a day.
Sing to a song on the radio out loud (even if you don’t know all the words), dance by yourself in the kitchen, put on clothing that doesn’t match, stand in the mirror naked and tell yourself OUT LOUD that you are beautiful and mean it.

Make a list of 45 things that make you happy, and that are a reason to get up every morning.
Examples:
1. Chocolate ice cream
2. The ocean.
3. Flowers.
4.
5.
6.

When you relive these reasons, you will begin to understand that happiness is a choice.  Change your thoughts, change your attitude...

Treat yourself once a week to fun. (Goals).
Do something fun at least once a week that you normally wouldn't do.  Go to the movies during a weekday.  Take a day off and do nothing.
Read a book you've always wanted to read.  Call someone that you have been thinking about.  Buy a skateboard, and try riding it.  Buy a bicycle, and ride it around the neighborhood, and try riding it with no hands.

This is the only suggestion that is not a suggestion!  Pray.  Do it now.  Just pray for help.  And most of all, remember that you did it.  God loves you just as you are!

No hope, no God.  Know God, know hope!

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $100.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $100 bill?" Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $100 to one of you but first, let me do this. He proceeded to crumple up the $100 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $100. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.

We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened in the past or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE. You are special- Don't EVER forget it. You are created by the Creator Himself. The greatest Designer of All things. And He gave His life for you. That's how much He thinks of you.

Count your blessings, not your problems.

And remember: amateurs built the ark . . .professionals built the Titanic.

If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

If you do one of these eight steps each day you will find that the stress in your life will diminish greatly.  Don't take yourself so seriously!  Enjoy life and have some fun.  Always remember that you are never, ever, alone.

Also, if you are drinking alcohol, or are taking drugs (illegally, or not as prescribed), STOP.
Consider going to a
Alcoholics Anonymous, or a
Narcotics Anonymous meeting.
These meetings are in every city in the U.S.A. and are world wide, just call directory assistance.

It doesn’t matter what you are feeling,
IT WILL PASS.

It doesn’t matter what you have done,
YOU CAN BE FORGIVEN.

It doesn’t matter what you think people think of you,
YOU CAN START OVER.

It doesn’t matter if you think that no one cares if you live or die,
because if no one else does, WE DO.

"Suicide is a permanent solution
 to a temporary problem!"

Suicide will not end your pain, it just starts it!

Suicide is pure evil;
It helps your enemies,
It hurts your friends.
