International Suicide Prevention
A nonprofit organization
2,740 times someone, somewhere, will walk
in on a suicide scene, everyday! What they see, smell, and feel after
having experienced this horrific sight will haunt them for the rest of
their lives. Why, what ifs, anger, depression, sadness and, what
could they have done differently to prevent this will be the memories
they keep from this moment on. Suicide is a very preventable cause of
death!
What does ISP do to prevent future suicides?
PSA's – Public Service
Announcements for print, radio, and TV to educate the general
population. ISP has been very successful having already appeared on,
“Good Morning America”, “20/20” and too many other broadcasts to
mention here.
Teaching – ISP has the most
interesting, informative and effective workshops, classes and lectures
available today. Interest for our training reaches around the globe.
E.C.P.S.F.S. – Emergency Crisis
Post-Suicide Family Support. For families in need, ISP will pay for
suicide scene cleanup, temporary housing, and counseling.
Your donations go to the following three
areas:
Suicidal – Finally, there is a
program available to remove suicidal thoughts, and ISP has access to
this cutting edge technology.
Knowledge – Knowing what to do to
stop a suicide will give you piece of mind. ISP provides free
education through its website, workshops, classes and lectures.
Support – Prevention begins with
helping those that are in the highest risk group. Those that have
experienced a loss of a loved one do to a suicide are seven times more
likely to commit suicide. ISP is the only national Emergency Crisis
Post-Suicide Family Support organization.
ISP was formed in an effort to:
Educate the general population, community leaders, social workers,
mental health professionals, police, military and world leaders on
suicide awareness and its prevention FREE through the internet, classes,
workshops and lectures.

-
We have already trained thousands of U.S. Army
troops that went to Iraq and Afghanistan. This is on going work
and is much needed.
-
We conducted interventions, workshops and
public awareness campaigns across America and around the world.
-
We responded to thousands of requests for
training and information about suicide awareness and its prevention.
Providing Emergency Crisis Response
for post-suicide family support to survivors of a
suicide that are unable to afford cleanup costs, counseling, funeral
expenses, temporary housing, and other costs that may be associated
with the loss of the household breadwinner (not to exceed $10,000.00
per incident).

-
We receive 5 to 8 requests for
family support daily, unfortunately we can only help those with the
greatest need as our resources are limited.
On average, nationally, is ($1,500.00) to have a certified
bloodborne pathogen cleaning company clean a
suicide scene. 89 people a day commit suicide in the United
States. 80% of all in home suicides are being cleaned up
by a family member! Home owners insurance will pay for suicide
scene cleanup, but most do not have the money to pay the deductible
therefore, they end up cleaning the scene themselves.
-
We refer hundreds to counselors around the
world. A very time consuming aspect of
suicide prevention but, it is necessary to reduce future suicides.
We have a proven program to eliminate suicidal thoughts that is unique
to ISP.

When a suicide happens |
Providing all of these services is essential to
reduce the need for other social services regularly associated with
caring for families that maybe displaced due to the loss of a
breadwinner, mental health issues that may arise after witnessing the
carnage often associated with suicide and to break the chain of
suicide.

ISP, Mr. Oscar B. Goodman, Mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Those that are close to someone that
commits suicide are seven times more likely to later on in life
attempt a suicide as a way to deal with a difficult life issue.
Generally these individuals are not aware of the need to seek
professional help when dealing with a tragedy of this magnitude, and
through this organizations effort the goal is to reduce the
national,
and international suicide rate.
We do not receive any government funding!
Although, we have applied for government funding but, we have not
received any. So, it is important that you contribute when you
can, any amount you can.
All of our work is funded by the general
public, small businesses, and cooperate donations. Thank you,
all of you that have contributed!
